Artist of the Week: Lizzy Chambers

Lizzy Chambers created British Botanical Jewellery and Keepsakes over 7 years ago. She started her business from a small collection that were purely grown in her own garden. After being taken on by the Wellcome Trust to create a collection for their shop, her business has gone from just home-grown flowers to working with a collection of British farms and small holders across the UK.

Lizzy has sold her work from market stalls in Spitalfields, Brick Lane, Crafty Fox Market and many other small tabletop displays to much larger events including Pulse trade show, Country Living, Comic Con, MCM, large outdoor events and RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Her work was originally inspired by being able to look after her children whilst building her own company, little did she know that her own children picking the flowers from their garden and drying them would turn into such a magical adventure.

Several years on, Lizzy is now drying flowers that each have meaningful stories, from roses that have been kept for 12 years from a first date, to wedding flowers that the mother has kept and three generations of wedding keepsakes.
