I am a typical “hobby potter “who loves playing with clay. All my pieces are handmade, decorative and functional. Most of my pieces are made on the wheel and done in an electric kiln. My favourite clay is the white Scava Earthstone.
I love making Raku and recently, as a result of Covid, I have been playing with firing pieces in the bonfire with very interesting results. I am inspired by the works of potters like Ruthanne Tudball, David and Margaret Frith.
The greatest satisfaction I get from pottery is that people buy my pots and all the proceeds (no cost taken) goes to the charity St Luke’s Hospice.
