Medium: Mixed Media
Dimensions: 30cm x 30cm
During lockdown I, like many others, have been on many walks!
One of my favourite walks has been up and over Pinner Hill and with these frequent walks I have discovered a renewed love of the landscape and trees in all their seasons.
This painting is a mixed media work on canvas. On quite a small surface I have tried to convey the vast views that can be had on the hill and also the ‘green-ness’ of it. I have used the device of dividing the rectangle with some loose grid shapes to abstract my ideas.

I am a mixed media semi abstract painter/printmaker in love with colour. I like to work in an organic way responding to each of the last marks made. As a painter I use water based paints and inks, collage, oil pastel and any other material that seems appropriate to achieve my goals. I like to create layers of colour using both transparent and opaque paints and am constantly excited at the myriad of colour it is possible to make. I am also a screen printer.
