Harrow Open Studios is happy to introduce 4 new artists for its 2018 events.

Bindu Morjaria

Bindu Morjaria will be joining Brian and Eva Cowan in Studio 20. Bindu will be exhibiting sculpture, ceramics and abstract paintings inspired by form, nature and cultural heritage.

Hugh Davies will be exhibiting works on paper using printing and photochemical techniques. Hugh’s work draws on his architectural background and explores form and space in the urban and maritime environment. He will be joining ceramicist Riecha Kapoor and printmaker Lisa Hurcum at Studio 19 in Northwood on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th.

Judith Simmons is a printmaker who enjoys working in varied media including etching, lino-cut, screenprint and colograph, on their own and in combination.
“My inspiration comes from a range of sources, such as animals, landscape and architecture, but always things I have seen. I utilise photographs and drawings often combining images. My work has been shown in three group exhibitions at Lauderdale House in Highgate and solo exhibitions at The Purcell School and at ‘Romeo Jones’ in Dulwich. My prints are produced in very small editions – usually less than 10 copies of any image.” Judith will be open for both weekends of the Open Studios event. You will find her in Studio 9 in Stanmore.

Also in Stanmore you will find Kilngod Ceramics as Ceramicist Shailja Sakhuja Sharma is known. “My work is classic, modern and plural- reflecting the diversity of life around us. While constantly exploring the tactility of clay my constant endeavour is to push boundaries and experiment with different forms and techniques. I mainly work with stoneware and use dull glazes to create functional and unusual tableware.” Kilngod Ceramics will be open on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th, Sunday 17th at Studio 8.
